Hi all
I am announcing a delay for 'Olzwyde Rogues: A False Truth' by one day, so releasing tomorrow. The reason for this is that personal things have come up, meaning I cannot work today.
Sorry again and thank you all for reading

Project Karma Is Cancelled
Hi all
Disappointing news today, as Project Karma - a thriller script originally scheduled for release today - has been cancelled. The reasons for this decision are mainly I don't believe I had enough material ready for my deadline.
It is unfortunate, but hopefully events like this will be kept to a minimum in the future. Thanks again for reading.

What Comes After 'Merciless'?
Hi all
Just a quick update on the launch of 'Merciless'. This release was originally intended as only the first chapter of a wider collection - a body of work formerly entitled 'A Cruel Storm of Raw Emotions'.
I have decided that I will continue with the remaining chapters, of which there are nine - ten including 'Merciless'. I don't have decided dates for these, but will release them independently, similar to 'Merciless'.
Look out for news soon, particularly in the State of the Blog posts every Monday.
Thank you all for reading

Merciless
The Glorious Champion
Finally, She had succeeded.
Scars of unending war
And woefully marked
For the Reaper’s signature,
Broke bounds
In blistering battle.
Begging legs stand triumphantly
Atop a ghastly mound
Of fallen comrades
And vanquished foes.
Finally…
She has succeeded.
Immortal Instatement of the Long-Living
Cowering citizens rejoice
In Her valiant victory
And dutifully attend
A celebratory ceremony
For fate-felled futures
And agnostic actuality.
The Three-Hundredth And Sixty-Fifth Day
Long passages take time
To be imperfectly constructed
Within immortal memory
Especially those rare few
Of an immoral nature.
A tainted mosaic stands in absolute defiance
To mark the temporary passage one lives through.
The heroic queen, with all her admirable grace
Had given way to a hollow heart festered with corruption.
Rebels’ Revolt
One frosted dawn
Countless haunted wives
With terrified children
Heard dreaded dins.
Drunken-defeated peasants
Desperately, defiantly clinging
Onto broken memories
And burning torches
Maniacally marched onward
Into tempting traps.
The Usurper
Frantically and desperately
The anger explodes
Bellowing, down gilded passageways
And lawfully-owned lengths.
The throne room
They have found it.
Her heavy head
Many demand it.
The Revolve Solution
"We are free at last!
"Never again
Shall our pious people
Become so ruinously undone
By so-called heroes.
"No
We need a leader
Someone with royalty
Deep within their blood and bones-"

'Merciless' Preview
Hi all
'Merciless' - a short poetry collection - launches tomorrow, so I thought today I could tell you a bit about it. It's been in gestation for a bit, since the beginning of February; back then it was part of a more sizeable body of work, entitled 'A Cruel Storm of Raw Emotions'.
That project was originally intended as a submission for a publisher whose name I don't recall, back before I decided to go completely independent. It was bordering on the 70 page mark - the reason why the result you'll see tomorrow will be so much smaller is two-fold: (1) I realised I would not meet my deadline if I continued onto the other sections and (2) I think it tells a better story line this way.
I guess since it was only the first chapter of a to-be larger collection, I could continue with the rest of it and release each following chapter one after another sometime in the future. I have planned to have a bit of a session tomorrow, deciding whether to continue on with the aforementioned project - and I will probably inform you all tomorrow upon the release of 'Merciless'.
Anyway, this release tells the tale of a hero who - in her everlasting glory - becomes a mighty queen; however, with power comes corruption and this is what happens to her slowly over time until the common people realise they are the only hope left. I hope you enjoy when I post it here tomorrow.

State of the Blog: Week Commencing 02/3/2020
Hi all
This is intended to be the first of many weekly updates on projects I am working on and planning to launch each consecutive week. They are all written works - encompassing formats such as scripts, short-stories, some novels and poetry.
Without further ado, let's get into this week:
04/3 - 'Merciless' - A small poetry collection following a hero's rise to fame and eventual descent into corruption. More to be revealed closer to launch.
05/3 - Project Karma - Title to be announced. A script of a thriller set in America.
06/3 - 'The Olzwyde Rogues: A False Truth' - Book one of a new science-fiction saga I am working on. Sci-fi is my all-time favourite genre by the way - the spaceships and intergalactic battles are awesome.
07/3 - Project Potent - Title to be announced. The beginning of a new weekly script series that will run through March.
08/3 - Project Dark Oceans - Title to be announced. Two scripts set in an epic, high-fantasy world.
That is everything for the coming week. Make sure to follow me on Twitter to keep up with news and announcements regarding the above. I don't remember my Twitter handle, so just search for Conrad Slater and the one with the logo S/t is mine.
P.S. I am in the UK, so the above dates will be slightly different in other countries :)
